Zachary I. Braff is best known as Dr. John 'J.D.' Dorian from NBC's comedy series Scrubs, alongside Sarah Chalke (Dr. Elliot Reid).
Zach attended Columbia High School, where Ahmed Best, the voice of Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace also attended.
Zach's best friend is Donald Faison, who play Turk, in Scrubs.
In 2004, Zach appeared in Garden State. He also served as the compilation producer in that movie, which gave him a Grammy for "Best Compilation Soundtrack For A Motion Picture". Zach's girlfriend, Bonnie Somerville also contributed in the movie. She recorded the the movie's soundtrack, "Winding Road".
