Vincent Anthony Vaughn was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and raised in Lake Forest, Illinois. He has 2 sisters, Victoria Vaughn and Valeri Vaughn. Their name come from their mother's fondness of a letter 'V', just like their father's name, Vernon Vaughn and the three dogs, Viking, Vero and Vladimir.
Vince decided to pursue a career in movie industry after got a spot in a Chevy commercial. He went to Hollywood after high school. He struggled in the beginning, but in 1993, Vince finally got a small role in Rudy. While shooting for the film, he met his friend Jon Favreau, a script writer, and with his help, Vince was casted into Swingers in 1996. The movie gave Vince such a good opportunity because Steven Spielberg saw him and casted him in The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
