Selma Blair studied at Hebrew School, her Hebrew name was Batsheva. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1994. Selma moved to New York to pursue a career in photography, but she changed her plan and studied acting at Stella Adler Acting School.
In 1998 Selma Blair was supposed to be a regular on TV Show Getting Personal, but she got fired after the first episode.
Selma Blair starred in Cruel Intentions and Legally Blonde. In 2004 she appeared in John Water's A Dirty Shame, where whe wore a very large pair of fake breasts to play a stripper role.
