Rachel Hunter was born in Auckland, New Zealand. Her parents were divorced when Hunter was a child.
Hunter was diagnosed with a rare blood disease at age 13. Following her recovery, she became much more extroverted than before. At age 16, she started modeling. She appeared in many covers of fashion magazines, such as Vogue and Cosmopolitan.
She dated Kip Winger III, the frontman of hard-rock band Winger. Rachel wed Rod Stewart on December 15, 1990. They had two children, Reene (b. 1993) and Liam (b. 1995). The couple got divorced in June 13, 1993.
Rachel Hunter has starred in some movies, including Just a Little Harmless Sex, Redemption of the Ghost, Rock Star and Haunted Lighthouse. In 2004, she also appears in some TV series, such as Denial and Larva
