Lucy Liu was born to a Chinese immigrants in Queens, New York. She graduated from Stuyvesant High School and attended NYU for a brief time. Liu transferred to University of Michigan where she earned a degree in Chinese Language and Culture.
In 1996, Lucy Liu got her first big screen role in Jerry Maguire. A year later, Lucy Liu got a recurring role in Ally McBeal as Ling Woo.
Lucy Liu was named as one "100 Sexiest Women in the World 2006" by FHM magazine. She casts as Mia Mason in NBC's series "Cashmere Mafia".
