Kelly Clarkson was born in Forth, Texas. She moved to Los Angeles after graduated from high school to pursue her career in entertainment industry.
Clarkson worked some odd jobs including a promo girl for Red Bull, telemarketer and Kirby vacuum cleaners for a day.
On September 2002, Clarkson got her career breakthrough when she won the American Idol competition, earning 58% of the audience vote.
In 2003, she starred in a movie called From Justin to Kelly with Justin Guarini, the American Idol runner-up. The movie did not do well in box office.
In 2004, she received a Grammy Nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for her Top 10 hit single "Miss Independent".
