Joaquin Raphael Phoenix was born to Children of God missionaries John Bottom Amram and Arlyn Dunitz Jochebed. He is the brother of River Phoenix, Summer Phoenix, Rain Phoenix and Liberty Phoenix.
Joaquin got his career breakthrough from Gladiator in 2000 in which portrayed the selfish young emperor opposite Russell Crowe's hero.
