Jessica Simpson was born in Abilene, Texas. Her father was a youth minister at a Baptist church in Texas. Jessica attended J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas.
Jessica sang in the choir and participated a lot in church activities. In 1992, she auditioned for The Mickey Mouse Club, Disney's kid variety show.
Her father, Joe, took Jessica on the road, where they worked the Christian Youth Concert circuit. People were amazed by her voice.
In 1999, she release her debut album, Sweet Kisses.
In October 2002, Jessica married to Nick Lachey, the singer of 98 Degrees band. MTV made a reality show based on their married life, called Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica.
Jessica will play in The Dukes of Hazzard alongside Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville.
