Jennifer Eve Garth is a daugther of John Garth and Carolyn Garth. Garth grew up on a horse ranch outside Urbana, Illinois. She and her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona when she was 13.
At age 15, a talent scout discovered Garth and encouraged her to pursue an acting career. Later, Jennie Garth and her mother moved to Los Angeles to seek for opportunity to become a professional actress.
In 1989, Jennie Garth got a role in NBC series, A Brand New Life as Erica McCray. A year later, Jennie got her career breakthrough when she got a role in Beverly Hills, 90210 as Kelly Taylor.
Jennie Garth also appears in WB sitcom, What I Like About You as Valerie Tyler, Holly Tyler's (Amanda Bynes) sister.
