Hugh Jackman was born in Sydney. He attended University of Technology at Sydney in journalism major. After graduated, Jackman studied acting at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
In 1995, Hugh Jackman landed a role in ABC TV prison drama, Corelli. During filming the series, he met his future wife, Deborra-Lee Furness.
Besides acting, Hugh Jackman also known as a good singer. He appeared in Australian production of Beauty and the Beast as Gaston. In 1998, he sang the National Anthem in front of 100,000 people at the Melbourne Cricket ground before the Bledisloe Cup. He also sang "People Will Say We're in Love" from 'Oklahoma!' with Shirley Jones at the opening of Fox Studios in Sydney.
Hugh Hackman was voted one of "The 50 Most Beautiful People in the World" by People Magazine in 2001 and 2002.
Hugh Jackman starred in many big movies, such as X-Men and the sequel, X2 as Wolverine. He also appeared in Someone Like You, Swordfish, Kate and Leopold, Standing Room Only and Van Helsing.
