Huang Sheng Yi grew up in Shanghai and began studying dance when she was five years old. She became famous when she won the aspiring TV show hosts award in 2000.
She had her TV debut in 2002, when she landed a recurring role in a TV series, Red Apple Paradise. She has also appeared in commercials for Panasonic, Samsung, Motorola and other well-known brands.
