Heath Ledger was born in Perth, Western Australia. Despite his image as a pretty boy, Heath Andrew Ledger is a very talented actor. He got his first movie role in Blackrock in 1997, about a life of a boy who learns that his best friend raped a girl.
In 1996, Heath Ledger got two offers for a TV show, Sweat about a group of young Olympians. The offers were for a swimmer and a gay cyclist. Ledger picked the latter because he felt that the role would show his talent.
Heath Ledger will appear in Casanova in 2005, playing the character of Casanova.
