Devon Edwenna Aoki was born in New York but raised in California. Devon Aoki comes from a wealthy family. Her father is a former Olympic wrestler and owner of Beninaha Steakhouse. Her mother is Pamela Hillburger, a jewelry designer.
At the age of 13, Aoki's grandmother introduced her to Kate Moss and that's the start of her modeling career.
In 2003, Aoki landed a role in 2 Fast 2 Furious, despite the fact that she did not know how to drive. She also starred in DOA: Dead or Alive.
