Meg Ryan was born in Connecticut at 10:08AM EST as Margaret Mary Emily Ann Hyra. Her parent divorced when she was 15 years old.
Meg graduated from Bethel High School in June 1979 and then she went to New York University to study journalism. To earn extra money during college, Meg went into acting. She decided to use a new name, Meg Ryan.
Her first movie appearance was Rich and Famous in 1981. She was also appeared in the day time television soap "As The World Turns" between 1982 to 1984.
Meg's talents got widely noticed when she appeared in Top Gun in 1986, alongside with Tom Cruise.
In 1989, her faked orgasm scene in "When Harry Met Sally" became one of the most famous scenes in movies ever.
