Mandy Moore was born in New Hampshire. Her birth name is Amanda Leigh Moore. Her father, Don, is an airline pilot and her mother, Stacy, is a former news reporter. Later, they moved to Orlando, Florida.
Mandy decided to pursue a singing career after she watched "Oklahoma!". She performed the National Anthem when she was a child at several athletic events around her hometown. She was known as the "National Anthem girl".
Mandy's singing career was a success. In 2001, she proved that she is not only can sing - she can act too. Mandy Moore had a bit part in The Princess Diaries.
Mandy also starred in "A Walk to Remember", "How to Deal", "Cursed" and "Havoc".
