Denzel Washington was born to a minister father and a beautician mother.
Denzel studied journalism at Fordham University. He moved to San Fransisco to attend American Conservatory Theater for a year.
His first movie appearance is in 1981 when he landed a role in "Carbon Copy". He also played a role in television series "St. Elsewhere" as Dr. Chandler in 1982 for 6 years.
In 1995, he was chosen by Empire magazine as one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in film history.
He starred in many big movies, like "Malcolm X", "The Pelican Brief", "John Q", "Training Day" and "Out of Time".
