At 17, Adam spontaneously took the stage at a Boston comedy club and performed stand-up comedy.
He performed regularly in clubs and at New York University where he got his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1991.
Dennis Miller saw Adam performing in a club, and Dennis recommended him to Saturday Night Live show in 1990. Adam performed and wrote for SNL show since then.
In 2004, he appeared in 50 First Dates with Drew Barrymore.
