Clive Owen was born in Coventry, England. His father, who was a country singer, left his family when he was three years old.
Owen started his acting career at age 13 when he joined the youth theatre. In 1984 he attended the Royal Academic of Dramatic Arts. After that he joined the Young Vic Theatre Company.
His movie appearances including Gosford Park, Beyond Border, The Bourne Identity, King Arthur and Closer. He also appeared in BMW's "The Hire" series as the driver.
