At 8 years old Ben was given his first steady acting job on the PBS mini-series "The Voyage of the Mimi".

This was when Ben met his lifelong friend and fellow actor, Matt Damon. Matt Damon and Ben decided to write their own script, "Goodwill Hunting", which won Best Original Screenplay in 1997.

Later Ben could choose his roles in the movies: Armageddon, Shakespeare in Love, and Pearl Harbor.

Matt also appeared in Daredevil with Colin Farrell.
