Amber Rose Tamblyn was born in Santa Monica, Californa to Russ Tamblyn, an actor and Bonnie Tamblyn, a singer and artist.
Tamblyn is best known to daytime television audiences for her six-year stint as Emily Bowen-Quartermaine on the popular daytime drama General Hospital. She has also been seen on television in guest roles on the series Boston Public and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Tamblyn made her feature film debut in the comedy Live Nude Girls. She then co-starred with her father, actor Russ Tamblyn, in the fantasy adventure Johnny Mysto: Boy Wizard.
In 2002, Amber Tamblyn starred in The Ring, a horror movie based on Japanese novel. She played a role as Katie Embry.
In 2003, she starred in a CBS' TV series Joan of Arcadia as Joan Girardi.
