Amanda Detmer attended California State University and earned her master's degree in fine arts from N.Y.U.
Amanda had her acting debut when she appeared in Stolen Innocence in 1995.
In 2000, she apperared in teen's movie, Boys and Girls alongside Claire Forlani and Freddie Prinze Jr. She also appeared in another teen's movie, Final Destination.
In 2001, she portrayed a woman left behind by character played by Jim Carrey, because of amnesia.
Her other movies including Big Fat Liar and Kiss the Bride.
